With SPROUT, eFuelution takes the next step toward a sustainable energy system.
We are proud to share that the SPROUT project has received an MOOI (Missiegedreven Onderzoek, Ontwikkeling en Innovatie – a Dutch mission-driven research, development, and innovation funding programme) subsidy of 5.6 million Euro administered by RVO (Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland – the Netherlands Enterprise Agency).
Within SPROUT, eFuelution builds on existing energy infrastructure and expertise. By intelligently coupling electricity, heat, and new sustainable energy carriers, eFuelution demonstrates how greenhouses can evolve into flexible components of a future-proof energy system — creating value for both energy users and the electricity grid.
SPROUT is a collaboration between TU Delft (TPM and Mechanical Engineering), The Green Village, the Innovation & Impact Centre, Division Q, eFuelution, Resourcefully, Westland Infra, Leiden University, and Wageningen University & Research.
eFuelution is the green arm of Riverlake, focused on driving sustainable energy solutions and integrating smart, flexible energy management systems. By optimizing energy generation, storage, and consumption, eFuelution helps create multi-commodity energy hubs that support the energy transition, increase efficiency, and accelerate the use of renewable energy. This work reflects Riverlake’s commitment to sustainability and innovation across its industrial activities.
